I have diverse taste, including a passionate love for reggae/ska music. One of my favourite bands (ever) has been Canada’s Bedouin Soundclash. During my time as a freelance writer, I got to interview the boys a number of times – most memorable being at a downtown café for the release of their fifth studio album Light the Horizon.
I wrote a detailed article for my personal site (now retired) and a short feature for 680News. You can read it here! They are a fantastic group of musicians, and more importantly, fantastic people.
The images you see below are oldies, but goodies; lead singer Jay Malinowski energizes a crowd in Kitchener, Ontario.
Because I have a nephew (in Michigan) who has made a couple of CDs with his band, I know the excitement of these concerts, Emily, especially when they’re good and loved by the audience. I can just imagine how much fun you have!
interesting post where emerges the passion for music in a journalistic style
Some wonderful band shots! I have never shot at a concert, but this kind of makes me want to! Nice work!
I totally agree with Adam, it looks like much fun! Nice job and fine photos. 🙂
Great shots Emily. He looks like he’s really into playing the music.
nice and cool to know about them!
