Building an work wardrobe: Aritzia

One of my biggest challenges has always been finding clothes I feel comfortable in, and that look appropriate for work – generally, I enjoy wearing yoga pants and graphic t-shirts. Β But recently, I started a new job where I meet with other business professionals on a daily basis – and needles to say, I need nice fashion for work.

I can’t buy a whole new wardrobe at once, but if Stacey and Clinton (What Not to Wear) have taught me anything, Β it’s to collect solid pieces, that you can mix and match. I hope you can join me as I work to develop my own style, and please leave your suggestions and related links.

My first new items of clothing include Aritzia’s Talula Exeter Blazer, dubbed a school boy blazer with a snug fit, and a couple of coloured T. Barton tanks, available for only $35 at Aritzia. They’re Β perfect for layering under sweaters, shirts and evidently blazers.

  1. Love the outfit! πŸ™‚ I need to be better about getting solid pieces to mix into my wardrobe.

I was going to reply to your comment on my blog (thank you, btw!) but you’re a noreply blogger! πŸ™ Google+ is weird about that. So, when you leave a comment on a bloggers blog, we cannot reply to you. If you didn’t mean for that to happen, lmk and I can show you how to fix it so I (and everyone else) can reply to your lovely self!!! πŸ™‚

    1. I had no idea that G+ did that, I would love some advice on how to resolve that problem. That would actually be amazing. Thank you, Gayle! πŸ™‚

    1. Np, Jamie. You have an adorable blog, and I noticed you had some DIY-type posts, which I always enjoy … they always give me inspiration for gifts and help me not break the bank!

    1. Awww well, I know sometimes I find it hard to sleep too. I read your About section, and I am glad you took something negative and made it a positive. Obviously, you have been inspiring people with your posts because I see the great community you’ve managed to built. I hope to achieve for the same, one day.

    1. Thank you so much, Martina. I am hoping to get the blazer in a few more colours this season! πŸ™‚

  3. From this man’s point of view (and a non-fashionista), you (as in “you”) make the clothes and you look like a young sophisticate. The smile is a perfect accessory. Enchanting. πŸ™‚

    1. OOh why thank you, Phil! Your comments are so thoughtful, which as a blogger, I appreciate so much!
