Happy 9th birthday, Táta

It’s Táta’s 9th birthday on Saturday! Woah, I can’t believe it’s already been four years since I picked her up from the airport and brought her home with me.

This little doggie spent her youth on a farm in Alberta, learning how to herd with a number of experienced Icelandic Sheepdogs.

These old photos show her with her farm friends, enjoying all that rural life has to offer. As well, side-by-side photos of her from 2015, when she was pregnant and eventually giving birth to her litter on February 28, 2015.

Sometimes I wonder if she misses that life, then I am reminded, she has three beds, 4-5 walks a day, a best cat friend named Harry and a family that spoils her. Retirement has its benefits.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland in the GTA

We’re finally walking in a winter wonderland in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). For once, I was actually NOT at work when the fluffy white stuff fell — so I got to go enjoy it right away!

On this snowy Sunday, my mom, aunt and myself hit the trails and our local park for some frosty fun! But you know who enjoyed it more than us? My dog. She loves the snow. Pretty sure this is HER season!

Also, a new addition to our family this winter, my aunt’s corgi Chloe! She seemed to also enjoy the snow!

Blackstock Christmas Tree Farm

Christmas is (almost) right around the corner and as usual, our annual family holiday photos — this year, taken at the Blackstock Christmas Tree Farm.

Blackstock Christmas Tree Farm is located in Scugog, Ontario and is actually HUGE! I was not expecting it to be that vast, but it is the perfect setting to pick your tree or pose for your photo. It is such a popular place, I would suggest booking in advance if you plan to use their property to take photos. We were lucky because they were able to squeeze us in last weekend!

I am so happy with how these photos turned out. As usual, I hope to update this blog more often. We’ll see what the winter brings. 🙂

Hello summer

As usual, it’s been a while since I’ve posted. I am just checking in to share my most recent photos from this month. I’ve been spending a lot of time working on our backyard. We refinished the deck, got a gazebo and have been planting vegetables (or at least trying). It’s definitely been a time of self discovery.
