In a few more weeks, it will be time for roses, chocolates, and cute DIY Valentine’s card ideas! Love it or hate it, most girls seem to adore it – including myself. Want to give something from the “heart,” this year? I can show you a simple and quick a craft to make for your special lady, friends or family, or even an easy craft for kids.
Sketch a heart, or make a template and place it onto your Valentine’s card stock. I used ready-made pink cards from the dollar store, and glued on rhinestones and sequins to complete the shape – keep in mind, you can also reuse old buttons, it looks just as good.
Once complete, you have something that looks like these Valentine’s Day heart button cards. Don’t forget, let the glue dry for about 15 minutes. When you’re ready, add a personal message inside. I recommend using a black felt tip marker. Be sure to check your local craft stores and their local store sales. Michael’s offers a phone app which features lots of coupons, some of which offer 50 per cent discounts. Good luck, fellas!
That’s a very nice idea! I’ll have to remember this one even though I’m not that good with making stuff like this. 🙂
I never used to be a craft person, but it’s become sort of a hobby these past few months. I just find it is great to help save money, so hopefully one day you give it a try and share it on your blog with us!
Absolutely love these, I don’t often try making my own, but am now pretty inspired to try this out.

I think what makes these appealing is how easy and fast they can be done … and still cheaper than buying a $5 card at the store!
What a cute idea, Emily. Even I could do that for my sweetie-pie. 🙂
Oh yesss! I hope you guys have a lovely day together, Ginnie!
It is a beautiful idea and sure it will make many people feel very happy. Beautifully captured !
Thanks Laurette! As soon as I made them, I was trying to decide who I should give hem to. Still haven’t picked!
These are really cute! My daughter would love to make these. We might just do “crafts” this afternoon.
I’m stumbled on your blog from Life Break Down’s blog.
Thanks for stopping by! If you do end up making them, let me know. I’d love to post a follow up post and include some of your photos!
So cute! Love how they reflect the pink paper too!

I think we can both agree pink is the best.
