I’d like a spot of tea

By now, you’ve probably realized I do enjoy my tea. And recently, I took full advantage of my time away from work – thankfully too, since it’s been quite chilly outside – and enjoyed some time relaxing. As a part of my de-stressing strategy, my mom and I shared some afternoon tea, complete with regular Red Rose (usually I opt out for peppermint or green), and had a chance to use her lovely new tea set.

Simplicity is always fantastic, isn’t it?

  1. What a wonderful way to spend your time off. There is nothing more relaxing than a sweet cup of tea. A very beautiful tea set indeed. A beautiful presentation. Wishing you a happy weekend !

    1. Happy weekend to you too, Laurette! My mom will be happy to know you like her tea set; she is very proud of it! 🙂

  2. how funny to see a spot of tea on your site … I’m trying to warm up with a cup of chocolate flavored tea this morning!! it’s sooooooo good

    1. I’ve only ever had chocolate tea once but it was sooo good. I’ve never been able to find it in the stores!

  3. Great photos! I love having tea, too! It’s such a good excuse to use my fancy china. It’s one of my mom’s and my favorite thing to do together. Following you now on Bloglovin’ 🙂

    1. thanks for the follow, girl! I am glad you and your mom also share tea time! I feel like it is hard to say no to tea … it always makes me feel better when I am sick and if it’s cold outside, i prefer it to coffee.

  4. I am more a coffee myself but I do enjoy an afternoon cup of tea and a biscuit 🙂
Thanks for visiting my blog. I like the clean and crisp styling of yours.

    1. Thank you, Geoff! Such kind words. I can’t wait to read more of your posts! You have some great photography.

  5. Tea has a gentle charm. When it’s made correctly (to MY standards, that is), it is delicate in taste and aroma. It is soothing and perfect for the destressing time you mention. It’s interesting how the container gives it’s own ambiance. Tea cups give a different take than, say, a mug. But that’s enough, I’ll have mine with a little sugar, please. Very nice photography!

    1. What kind of teas do you enjoy, Phil? How long do you usually steep it for? I used to add sugar in my tea all the time, but then I came to really love my tea black. Not sure why, I I feel like you get more of the flavours! Thank you for your kind words, I look forward to reading more of your posts, too!

  6. I enjoy Chamomile and Green Tea. They are two of my favorites. There is nothing better than a hot cup of tea when it is cold outside.

  7. I grew up on an Indian Tea Estate, so it’s good quality leaf teas that I like. Tea planters don’t regard herbal concoctions as Tea, as you can thus understand! Neither I suspect would Roibush (Red Bush) “Tea” qualify either. I drink all three just to keep the peace, but the REAL stuff does the most for me!

    1. Haha I guess Red Rose is not “real” in many senses, but I still enjoy it … it’s a bit more affordable and easy to make. But I do enjoy some other teas as well! Like you, I enjoy it all.
