With less than a month away from Christmas, I am quickly shifting into holiday overdrive. I’ve begun gift shopping, I cracked out the seasonal music almost a month ago, and I’ve put up my own Christmas tree … in my bedroom. Weird or passionate? I’ll opt for the latter.
But Christmas doesn’t only mean gifts, chocolate and Santa – although, that is pretty appealing. The holidays mean so much more to me. I get to see my family and I reunite with my friends, and I mean my very best friends.
When I think back to almost a decade ago, grade 9, I remember studying for finals, sledding down hills on giant pieces of cardboard, and I remember walking home with my first crush … an almost 45 minute walk home.
awesome and really good interpretation of christmas time, nicely done!!!
yes, xmas is coming
great mood in the photos
Wonderful set of shots. Took me a moment to realize I was looking at a red-nosed reindeer ๐
I have not decorated yet, but this makes me want to crack open the garage and get started!
I’m a bit like you, Emily, getting into the Christmas spirit early. But now that I live in the Netherlands, Astrid won’t let me put up the tree until after Sinterklaasdag, which is 5 December. Just a few more days…. ๐
Great macro shots, thanks for checking out my blog..:-))
Hi Emily!
This is a very nice way to get the holiday juices flowing. Love these photos, they are so nicely done. That red-nosed Rudolph is cute! ๐
What a festive series Emily, I love it! Great work! I’ve been in the Christmas spirit for over a month now. Definitely the happiest time of the year!
Another great work of art Emily, Your work just keeps getting better and better. Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas!
You’re freakin’ cute. I love Christmas too. I love the whimsy of it. Is that the right word? Oh well. I love listening to the music and thinking about hot cocoa and fires. I love Christmas where I live because I can go a half-hour to Williamsburg and walk around and take pictures of the beautiful decorations, or I can stay in my hometown and have a huge bonfire out in the woods with my best friends and drink beer and be the hick I was born to be! Christmas has gotten way too commercialized. Like football. But in a different way, of course. I miss the true meaning of Christmas. But I, too, have put up my tree and listened to Harry Connick, Jr. christmas songs. Love your photos, by the way! ๐
Um, why was Bumble not included??? Heart officially broken
I love bokeh and tones in the first shot of the ornament!
Very nice photos!
