Just because

It’s almost midnight on this quiet night. I know I’ve been taking a break from blogging these past few weeks, but for good reason. I’ve found myself caught up with work and improvement meetings. With the goals I’ve set out for myself, now has become a crucial time for me to get better, and soon move onto new opportunities and adventures. To be honest, I don’t think my camera batteries are even charged right now. But I did want to share a small post – something meaningful and something that makes me happy. Of course when I think happiness, I think Jimmy Dean. Yes, I get it. I may possess a “crazy cat lady” vibe, but I can’t think of anything that makes me smile as much as this little man.

I was “digging” through some old photos, and I came across this one taken a few years ago. I always make him pose with me for webcam photos … but you know what, even though his eyes seem to say “SAVE ME”, his heart is REALLY saying, “I love you too, Emily.”

  1. Cats very much enjoy their stoic aloofness–even if they love their pet human. It’s an act, though, and it’s meant to keep you wondering. One thing is clear, Jimmy Dean does love you. Handsome cat and pretty young lady who are great companions. Thanks for sharing this.

    1. Ha – pet human. Never thought of it that way, Phil. He is very much apart of the family. And any animal lover agrees, cats each have their own quirky personalities. Sometimes, it just takes a while to notice. 🙂

  2. It’s ok to take some time to catch up with life Emily… i love your portrait of Jimmy Dean and the one of the two of you…
but when i looked into your camera in the second shot… how did my portrait turn out:-)
Drop by this week and see some knockout cars….peter:)

    1. Peter – you look simply fabulous! I think these past few months have just been really busy with work stuff, but I am going to spend some time today taking photos … other than of my cat. 😛

    1. JD is a pretty cool cat, no doubt! I went to your site, and I had trouble finding where to comment. Is there a feature I’m missing?

    1. Alain, I think Jimmy Dean might have trouble catching mice … hahaha I’ve noticed he doesn’t really have the instinct. He’s had trouble killing bugs in the past. 😛

    1. Thanks for stopping by Nicky! I haven’t logged onto Bloglovin’ but I will be sure to follow you back!

  3. Hi Emily, I´m sorry about the comments on our page. The blog is expected to end of the year reprogrammed and then comments are possible again. I hope that we receive from you also lovely comments 🙂
