You know you have the best parents when you spend a whole evening at work, and you come home to find a brand new Christmas ornament in your bedroom.
Now, I am a Christmas enthusiast. I was in the holiday spirit before Hallowe’en. And if you know me well, you know that I love decorations and holiday-themed Build-A-Bears. Last night, as the first snow fall swept through our town, I came home to find the Santa Claus from “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer” ready to place on the tree. Needless to say, I was pretty excited. It is my first NEW decoration of the season!
Last night:
Merry Christmas! Sweet article, ๐ Lovely pics!
Thank you … for the comment AND gift ๐
I love the Santa in the snow photo, what a happy image! It’s also very cute that your parents gave you an ornament as a surprise ๐
Thank you! You know how much I love Christmas AND surprises. A perfect combo, really.
I like your new Santa ornament Emily… i have the same carousel on my tree… each ornament holds special memories… and your beautiful smile says it all.
….peter:)
Oh you have the same carousel? We bought ours many years ago; a lot of memories attached to that. I think catalogue trees are always gorgeous, but there’s nothing like a memory tree.
You have good parents! I’m sure their little gift will be a treasure for a lifetime. I remember that my mother would often buy ornaments after the Christmas season to use the following Christmas. Most of them were the old blown glass variety and they always had some magic of their own to give to us at Christmas time. Thanks for sharing this story and I do wish you and your family a blessed and happy Christmas.
Phil, you have wonderful/heartwarming stories to share! I’d be really interested in seeing some of your ornaments. You should post some photos of them on your blog. I bet I’m not the only one who would love it.! ๐
