Toronto Christmas Market 2016

It’s that time of year again; it’s time for the Toronto Christmas Market 2016 in the city’s Distillery District! The TCM is ranked one of the Top 10 Holiday Markets in the World — for good reason, I would say. The food is always delicious, the environment is pristine, and the 50-foot Norway spruce donated by by Forests Ontario & Ontario Wood is quite the grand sight!

This year, I once again went with my cousin Judy. We also added two new additions to our yearly tradition: her boyfriend Robbie, and of course, Scott.

It was decided we go early in the morning (again), to avoid the busy lunchtime and evening crowds. We stayed for about two hours, enjoyed some hot cocoa and giant pretzels (mmm my favourite!).

Other notable actives include Santa’s house, meet-and-greet with the elves, carollers, and the Heart of Christmas photo opt!

Throwback Thursday: Santa visit 1988

#ThrowbackThursday is fast approaching, and as we welcome December, I wanted to share this photo from my first Santa visit.

This photo was snapped November 28, 1988 at the Scarborough Town Centre (STC). I am on the left, my older cousin Elsie is on the right.

The Grinch & Max

Every year, I always pick up a couple of decorations for our tree. Here are the two newest additions to our Christmas tree this season: The Grinch and Max from Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

Thank you RetroFestive in Oakville for another great holiday shopping experience.

Candy canes & Cullen Gardens

Every year, I do a family holiday photo – most years, I’ve done it at home. But as we undergo basement renovations, we had to do this year’s outside.

Because fall still lingers, I aimed to find a place with evergreens. After a short scout, I decided to take the year’s Christmas card photos at Cullen Gardens (now known as Cullen Central Park) in Whitby.

We brought some props — and overall, I think they turned out quite seasonal!

Holiday Vandermeer Mini Sessions

I can’t believe it’s already been three years since this photo was taken. In 2013, my friend and I set up a hot cocoa booth at Vandermeer Nursery in Ajax to do some nice holiday mini sessions.

During the day, my parents stopped by to say hi! Oh, what fun! Should I do it again this year?
