Pickering’s Frenchman’s Bay: September 21, 2011. Beautiful, calm and the sun was just setting. It’s been five years since I’ve taken these photos, but it seems like just yesterday.
One of my best friends, Lisa, was getting ready to pack her bags, and move to the hustle and bustle of London, England. Fast-forward to present day: she married the love of her life – a fellow from Luton, and she is getting ready to begin a new chapter; a chapter which includes a bit more Canada.
This post is for you, Lisa. I can’t wait to see you again, and maybe this summer, we can recreate such a special night.
You must miss your friend very much – it is hard when friends move away, but it sounds as if you have something to look forward to
Yes! We are all very excited for her return this April π
What a small world!
Hahaha, agreed! π Seems so vast sometimes, though.
What a nice tribute to a great friendship that has lasted over both many years and many miles. Hope Lisa’s new chapter is a wonderfully exciting and happy one. Cheers! π
I am sure her new chapter will be very exciting! Everyone is looking forward to seeing her again. π
Em I love this so much! I miss you everyday and soon we will be very close together again! I can’t wait for more walks at Frenchman’s Bay, Starbucks and road trip adventures. Love you!
Thank so much to everyone who has commented. I am very excited and thank you all for your lovely well wishes. Xox
OMG STARBUCKS, PLEASE? And maybe an Emily + Lisa driving tour (as in, past the Deer Creek homes) like in 2006!
i love your walk down memory lane Emily… you look just as young now as then…
i know that Lisa was all packed and ready to head for England…
her trip would be much faster in a jet than on a slow boat from Lake Ontario… down the Saint Lawrence Seaway and then across the Atlantic…. lol !!!
….peter:)
hahah Peter! Too funny! I mean, it would be quite the story to tell, though! π
What a delightful tribute to Lisa and to TBT, Emily. And maybe even to BFF. Clearly you know all about the things in Life that really count!
It’s true, Ginnie! A lot of people have come and gone, but this girl has been there for everything. I am truly blessed.
that is indeed something to look forward to, Emily. a nice post with warm images.
Thanks so much for the kind words π
Such sweet shots.
Much appreciated Michael!
