I haven’t had much time to ever really enjoy the Scarborough Bluffs. I’ve been probably twice in my life: once in bad, rainy, chilly weather, and again very briefly to park.
According to the City of Toronto’s website, “[The] bluffs stretches for about 15 km along the Lake Ontario shore, from the Eastern Beaches of Toronto in the west, to East Point Park in the east. The Scarborough Bluffs are a significant geological feature resulting from the accumulation of sedimentary deposits over 12,000 years ago. They were formed by the natural processes of wind and water erosion from Lake Ontario.”
This weekend, I dedicated a couple of hours to check out the scenery – just in time for the golden hour! We took photos in a couple of places: above the beach in a more greened-up area, and again on the sands before sunset.
Even in just a couple of hours you can catch the pulse of a place, can’t you! Good for you to make it happen.
Great photos. I really love the light in the first one.
Thank you so much! Golden hour lighting is my favourite.
nice picture of the bluff and backlight grass Emily… i like your shots of the beach with the waves breaking on the shore… and then there is portrait of your smiling face to top it all off….peter:)
Peter, love your comments! Honestly, i have lived near this place for so long, and only now have I actually checked it out!
