It’s that time of year again; it’s time for the Toronto Christmas Market 2016 in the city’s Distillery District! The TCM is ranked one of the Top 10 Holiday Markets in the World — for good reason, I would say. The food is always delicious, the environment is pristine, and the 50-foot Norway spruce donated by by Forests Ontario & Ontario Wood is quite the grand sight!
This year, I once again went with my cousin Judy. We also added two new additions to our yearly tradition: her boyfriend Robbie, and of course, Scott.
It was decided we go early in the morning (again), to avoid the busy lunchtime and evening crowds. We stayed for about two hours, enjoyed some hot cocoa and giant pretzels (mmm my favourite!).
Other notable actives include Santa’s house, meet-and-greet with the elves, carollers, and the Heart of Christmas photo opt!
You can check out my previous TCM entries here: 2015, 2014,2013.

I want to go to the Toronto Christmas Market; I bet that 50 foot Norway Spruce like gorgeous. It looks like you guys had a rockin time.
It was HUGE! I love going every year 🙂 Such a tradition now!
Fabulous close-ups of YOU and the goodies, Emily! i love Christmas markets!!! We were, however, quite disappointed with the one in Brussels this past week (maybe they have to worry about security?). But the one in Hasselt, Belgium, more than made up for it. So much fun, putting us in the Christmas spirit. 🙂
I would love to see Europe during Christmas … that’s too bad about Brussels, I guess they have had a lot of trouble there recently. I wish there were more xmas markets where I live — i would try to go to all of them 🙂 Hehehe
Aw, what a cute little market. I love it!
Its right in toronto – a great place to be 🙂
really loving your photos, excellent job with the lens. the colours and dof are most pleasing.
I wish I had a more melted-away background in some of the photos!
Colourful as always. Miss the nighttime ambiance.
would have liked to go back for nighttime, but the ticket is good for one entry and they dont let you back in 🙁
