A couple of other stops you should make while you’re touring the Canadian Rockies are Bow Valley and Canmore. You’ll find them less lively than a place like Banff, but they are picturesque and provide a great deal of outdoor actives for the adventurer.
Here’s Bow Valley. I hiked a trail for about 40 minutes – it was pretty wooded, and I didn’t get the best views, but there are a number of trails (difficulties vary) depending on how much time you have.
Canmore is beautiful. I stopped here more than once – mainly because it was a nice middle ground from Airdrie (where I was staying) to the rockies tour. Also if you have time, there a number of hiking, mountain biking, equestrian, and paved trails. You can look more up at the Canmore Nordic Centre once you arrive.
What beautiful images. Alberta has a lot of lovely places to visit. 🙂
It sure is! I hope to go back soon and see some places I missed.
Such a lovely place!
It really is!! You gotta go!
He he… But it’s such a long way from here. 😉
So beautiful.
Isn’t it perfection 🙂
You are so darn adorable, Emily. 🙂 Canada is one of those places it’s easy for me to forget about (being so close to the USA???), but I really would LOVE to explore it more. One could live there a lifetime and still not see it all!
You have to, Ginnie! I can even make you out a list of cool places to see. I’ve been to almost every province now.
loved those pictures 🙂
Thanks again for all the kind words!!
