Yesterday, Toronto saw about 30 centimetres of snow. It was one of the biggest snowfalls we’ve had in years, and many residents in southern Ontario woke up to piles of the white stuff engulfing their vehicles, mounting their driveways and most of all, giving them a great excuse to take a day off work.
The windchill made it feel like almost -25C, and I tried my best to stay warm indoors. Luckily for me, Thursdays and Fridays are my days off. But this morning, I took a walk down the snowy pathways, and took a few photos to remember the storm, even though it had mostly dissipated.
Beautifully done…but oh-so-cold. Oh my.
It actually didn’t seem too cold, Phil. As long as you’re bundled up, it was alright. 馃檪
Beautiful photos! I am definitely ready for spring but the winter time and snow does make for some great photographs.

Thanks Carlee! I have also been visiting your blog recently, and it’s lovely. You have some very inspiring posts, and I love your fashion! Definitely one of your newest fans!
Il fait beaucoup plus froid qu’ici en Normandie (LOL)
Une tr猫s belle photo Emily ;))
It certainly was a pretty impressive snow storm – it only being our second winter in Canada (and last year having been so mild) we had never seen anything quite like it ….
Beautiful photo.

Thanks Kate 馃檪 Did you manage to enjoy the winter weather? Sledding or anything?
I would have been in snow heaven, Emily! We get some snow here in our part of the Netherlands but it’s usually no more than a dusting or at the most, 2-4″. Your image reminds me of my youth in Michigan all those years ago! 馃檪
OOh you lived in Michigan? I think they got a lot of snow too actually, Ginnie! I’m in Toronto, so they aren’t too far from us!
Beautiful photo – winter is so beautiful when it snows 馃檪
Winter is only good when it snows, Natalia! 馃檪
And we had much the same in Boston. Lots and lots of beautiful snow! Love your image!!
Marcie, I just saw your snowman post … so cute! I really wanted to build one, and I should get it on it before all the snow melts.
very pleasant in white domonant
Thanks for stopping by fabrizio!
Wow! Cool photo! I wish I lived somewhere where it snowed! We haven’t seen any snow here in Georgia yet (and probably won’t).
The snow is always a fun thing to look at and do winter activities … the only thing that sucks is driving in it! But one day you guys should totally go to Blue Mountain or something, enjoy the snow and some skiing!!
nice winter scene 馃檪
Very! A lot of great scenery around here.
Oh how I wish you lived nearby. Your phots are beautiful and I have just the place where I’d love to have a family portrait, shot by you, hanging on my wall. So glad to have found you so I can meander through the site and dream of your phots on my wall;)

Thanks so much for your kind words, Vicky! Truly means a lot. Perhaps one day when you make a visit to Toronto, we can make that happen! Thanks for linking up on the blog hop this week!
A snow day, indeed! You captured it beautifully with this photo. My daughter wants to visit Canada so bad.
Oh you guys would love Canada! I am from Toronto, but BC is suppose to be really pretty. I actually haven’t been there myself, but I’d love to go one day, too!
excellent winter scene
Wonderful snap really captures the season!
Great photo! Following you from the Linkin with my Ladies hop, and heading your way tonight for a hockey game in Uxbridge!

YES UXBRIDGE! Love when I find other bloggers from the area.
Tried to reply via email but the return email address is “no-reply comment” 馃檨 Sooo… we’re north of you in Simcoe. One of our boys’ teams is in OMHA semi-finals vs an Uxbridge team. We’ve been there before for non-hockey events… love Uxbridge 馃檪 Glad I found you!
